We saw Big Arch perform this song at the Blowed on Phoenix Orion’s birthday about four years ago. Supposedly this song was around for quite a while (92) but we were never able to get a hold of it. We recently got into contact with Big Arch, through Imperator (thanks), and he was able to hook us up with the infamous “Gorillas in the Mist”.
The West Coast Triumvirate will be embarking on a fall tour of Europe in support of their solo lps and the new project from the Magic Heart Genies entitled Magic Heart Genies 2. DJ Drez will also be touring with them so be sure to catch the two great groups on this much awaited tour.

Haiku d’etat has been on hiatus promoting their respective solo records. Last Summer found Mike, Aaron & Eddie touring the States regionally upon the release of Aceyalone’s “The Lonely Ones” lp on Project Blowed/Decon -and- Abstract Rude’s “Rejuvenation” lp on Rhymesayers Ent. Now its the fall and with a new Myka 9 collab lp (Magic Heart Genies 2) just released, Europe is calling for the triumvirate to reunite. Consider this the 1st round of shows that Haiku will perform in Europe. They’ll be joined by special guests DJ Drez & J the Sarge who forms MHG with Myka.
Myka 9 kicks off the tour with a fun solo show at a Cannabis Cup related event. Though the tour only hits Amsterdam and parts of France, Germany, Czech & Hungary, rest assured we haven’t forgot about the UK and other parts of EU like Scandinavia, Poland, etc. We shall return after the new year hopefully through Subotage Agency in the springtime.
PEACE sounds pretty young on this song so we think that this one was probably recorded around 93′-94′. As for the production, we’re not too sure but we’re leaning towards CVE. Alls I know is that this beat is fucking crazy…
This gem is off of the ever-elusive Harvest for the World. Just this passed summer a very bad sounding version of Harvest popped up over at the PhilaFlava forums and when I say bad, I mean BAD. It hurt the ears. Ganjah hooked us up with a few tracks and the infamous “I Need to Stop Smoking” produced by Fat Jack just happened to be one of them. The beat is what caught our attention first, that fucking bass line is fat! And then comes Ganjah just tearin’ the mic a new one. This is a classic underground cut for sure…
We don’t have too much info on this track except that it was produced by Daddy Kev.
Here we have a classic freestyle session with the A-team, L’roneus, and Bukue One. Cali-styles at its finest but LA seemed to have taken over towards the end…..
Hearing Acey start up “Watch LA take those Styles Back” always gets me chuckling.
This next performance is from Santa Cruz and at first I thought “hey, maybe Spoon witl pop out!” buuut hearing Abstract and Acey do it was still good enough. It seems like Abstract knows everyone’s verses…
